Bert Dalton Trio - Jazz Standards & More

New Mexico’s own, the Bert Dalton Trio, will jazz up proceedings this month with pianist Bert Dalton, bassist Rob “Milo” Jaramillo, and drummer John Bartlit. The trio will present originals, jazz standards, Latin jazz, and Brazilian music with a synergy developed over twenty years of performing and recording together. The Bert Dalton Trio are core members of the five-piece Brazil Project, winner of the New Mexico Music Industry award in the World Music category, and have performed tribute concerts of Dave Brubeck Quartet music along with saxophonist Dave Anderson. On tap for the Sunday concert are standards from the Great American Songbook by composers such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein, Victor Young, Jerome Kern; Latin Jazz selections from Noro Morales, Mario Bauza, Cal Tjader, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Manfredo Fest; jazz compositions from Cedar Walton, Bobby Timmons, Clifford Brown, Jimmy Rowles, and Bill Evans; and humerous lyrics from Dave Tull.
