Offering more than music, the Placitas Artists Series (PAS) Outreach to the Schools program is pleased to announce the continuation of our school performances to serve the students of Southern Sandoval County.
Attached is the current program year booklet of performers and performances available to schools. In order to reach as many schools as possible, our current policy is to schedule at least one program per school per year. PAS pays for one-half the cost to bring a program to your school; we also contact the artists and work out performance and contract details of each program. Budget permitting, we may offer the opportunity to schedule more than one performance per school per year. There is also a new program option for the 2011-2012 school year: If there is a performer/performance your school would like to have presented that is not showcased in the program booklet attached, we will work with your school to make this happen.
If you are a school staff member, and interested in this program, download, review and complete the program application. Completed applications should be sent as an email attachment to info@placitasartistsseries.org with the words "School Application" in the subject line. There are also resource documents that provide suggestions for addressing NM Music Standard 8 as well as NM Content Standards for Music, Visual Arts and Language. Please complete and return the application as soon as possible to ensure your first choice of performance will be available at the date and time you prefer.
