     Gary W. Priester

 

A graduate from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, Gary W. Priester has over 40 years experience working as an advertising art director, graphic, and website designer, creating print and TV advertising and collateral materials. Priester and his wife and fellow artist, Mary Carter, were principles in The Black Point Group, a successful graphic design company located in the SOMA area in San Francisco. Together, they received over 50 design and advertising awards for creativity. Priester is the author of 3 books of stereograms, the latest Hidden Treasures will be released in Spring 2008 by Sterling Publishing, New York, and has had several hundred of his images published worldwide.

All images are digital Giclee prints on archival paper. All are 10" x 8" at $175 except as noted.

These images are both floating objects and hidden 3D images. The repeating images that you can see are called floaters and in most cases reveal the nature of the 3D hidden image.

"My stereogram images have evolved over the years. While I still love to create the hidden 3D image stereograms, I am working more now with floating images and hybrid images. I also create a fair number of commissioned images for a variety of businesses and companies. And thanks to the Placitas Artists Series, I have started to look for fine art venues for my work."
