Drawn to New Mexico by the culture, the relative frontier atmosphere and, of course the mountains, he further discovered that it all played together to create marvelous photographs. LeBlanc photographs the majestic southwestern outdoors. From the mountaintops and mesas of New Mexico the entire Colorado Plateau and the magnificent skies above them all, he brings us to the solitude and beauty of this frontier. LeBlanc has been involved in selling his work since 1983 through arts and craft shows and galleries. Presently he is part of the Amapola Gallery Co-Op in Old Town, Albuquerque. As an award-winning photographer, he has been selected to appear in major juried shows in New Mexico, California, Texas, Colorado, and Arizona; He has been published frequently in regional publications and exhibited in various exhibitions throughout the United States. More recently he has taught photography by conducting/leading both groups and individuals for day or multi-day sessions. |

LeBlanc says: "As a photographer I try to capture the beauty that nature has endowed us with.......... patterns, shapes, design and color. I can only try to portray this beauty, enhancing or dramatizing it with the ever-changing light. The Southwest with its naked geology lends itself to my type of photography. All images are taken with Kodak slide film and reproduced using traditional photo processing methods. Only archival products are used in matting and framing." |
