Sylvia
Eisenhart obtained her art education with classes in drawing, watercolor,
acrylic and oil at a junior college in Denver. Then she went on to study drawing
and painting at the Art Institute of Chicago, also while in Illinois she
continued taking painting and design classes at another junior college. She has
shown in a juried show in Denver and with the Placitas Artists Series for a
number of years.

"I started enlarging and bringing into my canvases certain shapes, colors and light sources from often overlooked words, thoughts and ideas. This approach presents uncomplicated, sometimes enlarged shapes using surreal colors and light. These colors and light blend into forms that result in expressing a bond between my ideas and my paintings creating an excitement of movement. As light is integrated the canvases come to life giving the feeling as to time and space which molds my thoughts, words and color into a finished canvas." |
