Violinist Steve Ognacevic received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the Eastman School of Music (1973),where he studied with Zvi Zeitlin and John Celentano, and his Masters Degree from the University of New Mexico(1986) while studying with Leonard Felberg. Additional studies at the Berkshire Music Festival at Tanglewood and the Aspen Music Festival have led to a fulfilling career as both an orchestral and chamber musician. In 1979 Ognacevic co-founded the Aspen Chamber Players and subsequently toured Colorado as a member of the Aspen String Trio, as well as Western Canada while violist of the Kootenay String Quartet. He has previously been a member of the Rochester Philharmonic, Syracuse Symphony, and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and currently holds positions in the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque, and Sante Fe Pro Musica. |
